September 15th
Dear Save Spalding Friends,
Thank you all for your support and dedication to Spalding. Our goal is to show a strong and united front to the Fulton County School Board. In this first email update, we'll focus on the meetings over the next week.
SAVE SPALDING ZOOM MEETING

In advance of the meetings on Wednesday and Thursday, we want to go over some talking points and our approach. This will be a quick meeting to review our message, it will not be open for comment. If you have questions in advance, you can email contact@savesde.com.
PUBLIC MEETINGS
Tuesday 9/17 @ 6PM: Sandy Springs City Council Meeting (1 Galambos Way, Sandy Springs, GA 30328)
If you are planning to attend the meeting, please arrive at 5:30 outside City Hall for a short briefing with Kim Parkman and Kacy Homans. Please wear a Spalding shirt or blue and orange. Please be polite. The city is on our side- we are allies! We have the full support of the mayor and the council members so please refrain from negative comments. They DO NOT have any control over the decisions that the Fulton County School Board makes and are part of our support system.
Wednesday 9/18 @ 6PM: District 7 Community Meeting with Dr. Morancie (Woodland Elementary School 1130 Spalding Dr NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30350)
If there is one meeting you can attend, this is probably it. It's close to our neighborhood and we want to show a large presence. Please wear a Spalding shirt or blue and orange.
Thursday 9/19 @ 6PM: Fulton County School Board Meeting (South Learning Center 4025 Flat Shoals Road, Union City, GA 30291) According to the website, there is an Executive Session at 4:30 that is closed to the public and the meeting starts at 6PM.
This is a more formal meeting where only 7 people will be given the chance to speak. We have developed some talking points to provide a unified message to the School Board. If you have signed up to speak and received confirmation, please reply to this message.
T-SHIRTS and YARD SIGNS
We have pre-ordered 50 T-Shirts and 150 yard signs. T-shirts will be available for sale for $10 prior to Wednesday night's meeting and will be first come, first serve. Yard signs are $5.75 and will arrive within the next few days. We'll have an update on these Tuesday night.
Thank you all for your support!
